Modeling and Experimental Evaluation of Haptic Localization Using Electrostatic Vibration Actuators

چکیده

Touch screen devices have become ubiquitous in modern day-to-day lives. While smaller touchscreen provide enough user engagement with meaningful haptic feedback, large touch still lack stimulation. Existing literature for surface vibrotactile localization uses many actuators and conventional boundary conditions. Previous numerical studies on do not address multi-frequency excitation. This research proposes a new spring-damper condition bar-type display. Subsequently, mechanical model of the bar multiple-electrostatic vibration is developed using material damping information Simultaneously, an experimental setup validation model. An optimization technique to localize rendering at multiple selected zones proposed. It has been established that by varying frequencies excitation two electrostatic resonant actuators, localizable feedback can be generated across length bar. The results corroborate simulation results. Finally, proposed strategy multi-zone experimentally verified.

scour modeling piles of kambuzia industrial city bridge using hec-ras and artificial neural network

today, scouring is one of the important topics in the river and coastal engineering so that the most destruction in the bridges is occurred due to this phenomenon. whereas the bridges are assumed as the most important connecting structures in the communications roads in the country and their importance is doubled while floodwater, thus exact design and maintenance thereof is very crucial. f...

Electrostatic Actuators with Intrinsic Stress Gradient II. Performance and Modeling

Electrostatic actuators are used as voltage-controlled oscillators or resonators in high frequency applications. The change in deflection of a cantilever beam due to an applied voltage leads to change in capacitance between the plates of the beam. However, the range of operation of these devices is limited due to the nonlinear nature of the applied electrostatic forces as the cantilever beam mo...

Hysteresis Modeling, Identification and Fuzzy PID Control of SMA Wire Actuators Using Generalized Prandtl-Ishlinskii Model with Experimental Validation

In this paper, hysteretic behavior modeling, system identification and control of a mechanism that is actuated by shape memory alloy (SMA) wires are presented. The mechanism consists of two airfoil plates and the rotation angle between these plates can be changed by SMA wire actuators. This mechanism is used to identify the unknown parameters of a hysteresis model. Prandtl–Ishlinskii method is ...

Active vibration control using compliant-based actuators

In this work, an active vibration control method using compliant-based actuators is proposed for controlling a wide range of vibration and its noise-associated applications. The compliant-based actuator combines a conventional actuator with elastic elements, such as passive springs, that can be demonstrated to have better accuracy and robustness for force control compared to conventional stiff ...
